Based in Geneva, Anna helps us learn about unresolved female health conditions, and nurture investment and entrepreneurship opportunities to address them. After receiving her MS degree in bioengineering from EPFL and completing her master thesis at MIT, she pursued a career in biotech. Her experience includes working as the first employee at Aktiia, a bioinformatics startup.
Based in Seattle, Richard is endlessly curious and shares his expertise and resources as a clinical specialist in oncology with us. He received his Doctorate in Pharmacy from the University of Washington (UW) and pursued further training with an MBA Technology Entrepreneurship Certificate. In his day job, he is a lecturer at UW, and a researcher at Kite Pharmaceutical.
Based in Boston, Andy shares with us a rare and keen combination of strategic and technical insights in the healthcare industry. He was selected for the prestigious accelerated BS/MD/MBA program at Northwestern University, and is currently an Emergency Medicine Physician at the Massachusetts General Hospital and the Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He brings with him endless humility, curiosity, and generosity.
Based in Brussels, Gabriel actively provides his support in the technical research and the commercialization process of our team. He holds a PhD in Evolutionary Cell Biology from UCL, and was a post-doctoral researcher at Cambridge’s MRC Lab of Molecular Biology. After completing his fellowship at FacultyAI, a data science program for academics, he is now the Life Science R&D scientist at SAS Institute.
Based in Burlington, Ontario, Wayne engages with our founders by sharing his network, experience, and expertise in the areas of industrial innovations. He holds a PhD in Metallurgy and Material Science Engineering from University of Toronto, served as an executive at metals and composites companies, and serves as the portfolio manager at Bioindustrial Innovations Canada, a government backed fund.
Based in Vancouver, BC, Yifei acts as a generalist and first point of contact for many new discoveries and technologies. He received a Liberal Studies education from UCLA and a Master in Global Business from Peking University, and is currently completing a Fellowship on Social Impact Innovation and Investing with Founder Institute. He brings with him a commitment to social impact and a uniquely multi-discplinary and multicultural perspective.
David Yu
Based in Victoria, BC, David shares with us his perspectives in law and policy. He holds an MPA from Columbia University and a JD from Fordham University. He is is currently a volunteer policy analyst at the Canadian House of Commons, and is a director in Victoria’s real estate development organization. He is also an active volunteer with nonprofits focused neurological diseases.
